Letters from Home show to support veterans

Bellevue Reporter - 8/10/2018

In 2010, Erinn Diaz founded Letters From Home in Winston-Salem, NC with a mission to tour the country honoring the nation's veterans, active military heroes and their families, by reviving patriotism through music. Since then, it has become one of the fastest- growing musical movements in the nation, touring over 40 states. The incredible singing harmonies, charming personalities and phenomenally energized tap dancing has been entertaining audiences for the past eight years and will be arriving in Bellevue on Aug. 18.

Diaz produced the show at the suggestion of her late father, Pat Dearth, a Coast Guard veteran. She is currently touring several versions of Letters From Home, and is also the founding artistic director of Spring Theatre in Winston-Salem, a published author, a national tap dance champion and has been seen in over 200 productions and movies. The show will not only feature Diaz, but also Dan Beckmann of Minneapolis, Minnesota, who has performed in six of seven continents. Beckmann currently resides in New York City, and will be joining Diaz as her duo show partner in the charming Fred-and-Ginger-esque tribute, "Voices of Victory."

The Bellevue show will be at The Meydenbauer Center Theatre, 11100 6th Street, Bellevue, Washington, 98004 on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $27 for general admission, $23 for veterans, and there is a special VIP ticket at $50 that includes a meet-and-greet with performers plus photo opportunity.
