El Paso VA Health Care System offers walk-in COVID-19 vaccinations to veterans 50, older

The El Paso VA Health Care System is offering COVID-19 vaccine walk-up appointments Thursday through Saturday for veterans 50 and older, officials said.

Veterans who meet that criteria who are enrolled with the El Paso VA Health Care System can walk in and receive the vaccine at the VA’s main facility at 5001 N. Piedras St., officials said.

The vaccine will be given from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Veterans 50 years and older also can register for the vaccine by calling 915-564-6100 and selecting Option 2.

Officials said veterans should take their VA-issued ID card.

U.S. Department of Homeland Security employees who qualify will be able to have walk-in appointments between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, officials said.

Employees who prefer to set up an appointment can call 915-564-6100, ext. 6150.
